Our Philosophy<\/strong><\/p>\n

The horses we have owned, and trained for others, have been our passion and livelihood for over 30 years. They have given enormously of themselves for our benefit, and only because we asked them to. We owe them a great debt of gratitude, as well as loving care from birth through their careers, and the chance at a happy retirement when they tell us they are ready for that. The horses we board live with the horses we own, and are cared for to the same standard. When your horse deserves to live its Growing Years or its Golden Years in comfort, Cedarwood Farm is the premiere Virginia horse boarding facility.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

Large Group Turnout<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Your horse will be turned out 24\/7 in a group of 4-12 horses. Pastures range from 10-30 acres and herd size is managed accordingly. Horses are fed prepared feed once per day, and checked twice a day. They have excellent pasture and hay free choice year-round. Barefoot trims and rotational deworming every quarter included in board fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mares & Foals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mares and foals are welcome at Cedarwood Farm. While we don’t foal outside mares, we are happy to board mares for the Virginia Certified Program, or take mares with foals at foot who are ready for 24\/7 turn out. Mares and foals are fed prepared feed twice daily and have excellent pasture and hay free choice year-round. Barefoot trims and rotational deworming every quarter included in board fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pregnant mares: $700 per month<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mares with foals: $750 per month<\/p>\n\n\n
